Today I am posting another flash fiction inspired by an image. I’m really getting into this flash fiction thing, I’m really enjoying putting together the flash fiction collection for my patrons!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one. I sure do!
I try not to move – I don’t want to wrinkle my white dress.
Not that I could move, even if I wanted to, but it feels better thinking I have a choice. Gods, I didn’t think I would be this nervous.
My make-up is perfect, I can feel it in pretty layers on my skin. My hair probably looks better than it ever has before.
Today is the big day; I have to look perfect.
We’re in the house, just like I requested. The big, beautiful mansion where I’ve always wanted to live happily ever after. I’m so glad my love made it happen.
I hear the music start to play, and it all feels so unreal. A beautiful, slightly melancholic melody fills the room where all my loved ones sit. They’re all here for me, to celebrate me on my big day.
This is everything I ever wanted. I’m going to get to live in this house forever, starting it all with this lovely celebration.
It really is a shame I don’t get to see any of it.
I lie still in my coffin, listening to the sounds of my funeral.
Thank you for reading! If you’d like to see more of my flash fiction, as a Patron, you would receive a monthly collection of flash fiction, and you would also be welcome to provide pictures to inspire my stories!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a novel to write.
