Is being super tired a valid excuse for not writing a blog post?
… Yeah, okay, never mind. It’s going to be a short one today, though, and I have not had my coffee yet so I ask for all the slack to be cut.
[Five minutes pass]
Okay, I have acquired a cup of coffee. Now if only I’d have made some sort of plan about what to write about today, but sadly not. I just finished the first week of my new job (I love it) and somehow I have managed to be busy every single day after work, so there hasn’t been much time for things like planning a blog post topic.
Let’s check in on my Camp NaNoWriMo progress real quick. I have been writing every day and reaching my word count… I just haven’t been writing on Blade of Broken Bones. Not gonna lie, this week I’ve been writing fanfic and counting it in my word count, and don’t give me that look!! It’s writing, it’s creative, and it’s just so much fun with zero pressure. I kinda need that, so I’m going to keep doing it as long as I need to.
I’ve already permanently fucked up my original novel writing time line anyway, there’s no saving it now, just readjusting it for real life. And you know what? That’s okay.
Okay, real quick sidetrack, I need everyone to check out https://gimletmedia.com/shows/the-two-princes because it has eaten my life and I have zero regrets, it is my new favorite fandom next to Merlin and def where I have been spending all my time writing fan fiction. It’s only seven episodes but they are soooo goooood and sweet and that is all I have to say on that subject, otherwise I will start ranting and never stop.
I told you it was going to be short. I have no idea what I just wrote, but my goal was to get a blog post out, and I believe this still technically qualifies as a blog post so, job done??? I’m gonna go with job done. Here’s to a more proper post next week! A human can dream.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a novel to write (or possibly fan fiction).
